Wayne Sims

Mr. Thomas Wayne Sims age 85 of Boaz, Alabama, died on Monday, August 28, 2023, at his residence.

A funeral service will be held at two o’clock pm, Friday, September 1, 2023, in the McRae Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Drew Noles officiating. Interment will follow in the Beulah Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday evening, August 31, 2023, from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Sims was born in Columbiana, Alabama on December 27, 1937, to Hugh Morrow & Lillie Mae Bozeman Sims. He was the retired president and owner of Homes of Legend manufactured homes.

Mr. Sims is survived by his wife: Sarah Ragon Sims of Boaz, Sons & Daughter-in-Law: Thomas Kevin Sims of Boaz and Timothy Paul “Timbo” & Tracy Sims of Albertville, Daughter: Karah Sims of Northport, Grandchildren: Kelsey Sims Luce, Brianna Nicole Sims, Bailee Lynn Sims, Hayden Faith Sims, Jackson Paul Sims, 3 Great Grandchildren, Sister: Yoby Sims Whipp of Georgia. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Hugh & Lillie Mae Sims, Son: Richey Wayne Sims, Brother: Hugh Sims, Jr., and Sister: Shirley Dees. The family extends special thanks to Billy & Jamie Faucett, Mike McGee, Paige Oden, Lorie Patterson, Carol Noojin, and Enhabit Hospice.
