Mrs. Virginia Hardeman Edmondson, age 96, of Boaz, left this Earthly home for her heavenly reward Saturday, February 19, 2022. She was a very devoted wife, mother, Grandmother & Great Grandmother. She was an active member of Crestview Church of Christ for over 70 years.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at 11:00 o’clock am in the chapel of McRae Funeral Home with Jerri Manasco officiating. Eulogy will be given by Doyle Parker and Family. Burial will follow in the Dekalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Mrs. Edmondson was born in Alabama on January 19, 1926, to John R. & Florence Stone Hardeman.
Mrs. Edmondson is survived by her Son & Daughter-in-Law: Scotty & Lenora Edmondson of Aroney. Grandchildren: Nick (Samantha Bonds) Edmondson of Southside, Faith & John Lott of Mississippi, Cadence & Gabe Yates of Guntersville. Great Grandchildren: Gunner Scott Bonds Edmondson, Hunter Bonds, Destiny & Jordan Slaton, Sonny Aaron Gipson,Trey Lott, Landon Lott, Brittany Lott. Chosen Great Grandson: Beau Morgan. Sisters: Willie Ruth “Billie” Godwin of Boaz, Joyce Timmons of Anniston. Special Chosen Sisters: Norma Jobe, Joann Faulkner, Annie Guest. Several Nieces & Nephews.
Mrs. Edmondson was preceded in death by her Husband: Newton “Newt” Edmondson. Parents: John R. & Florence Stone Hardeman. Brothers: Bob Hardeman, Ira Hardeman. Sisters: Johnnie Bell, Naomi Pack.
Pallbearers will be: Nick Edmondson, John Lott, Gabe Yates, Jordan Slaton, Jeff Roberts, Charles Carnes, Jason Bloodworth, Richard Bruce.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Danny Dale, Sonny Aaron Gipson, Elders & Deacons of Crestview Church of Christ & Nephews.
