Vera Mae Roberson

Mrs. Vera Mae Roberson, age 83 of Boaz, Alabama, died on Sunday, January 29, 2023, at her residence.

Funeral service will be held at Two o’clock pm on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at the McRae Chapel with Rev. Fred Nichols, Rev. Ricky Roberson & Rev. Nellon Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Walls Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Roberson was born in Alabama on March 28, 1939, to Earnest Delbert, Sr. & Eula Pearl Manning Potter. She was retired from the H.D. Lee Plant.

Mrs. Roberson is survived by her Husband of 63 years: Robert L. “Shorty” Roberson, Sr. of Boaz. Children: Cynthia & Bruce Holcomb, Phil & Debbie Roberson, Renee` & D`Wayne Franks, Tim & Kay Roberson, Robby & Cheryl Roberson all of Boaz. A host of Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren. Brothers: Earnest Potter, Jr. of Boaz, Charles Potter of Cullman, Gary Potter of Huntsville. Sister: Judy Massengill of South Carolina. Best Friends: Brother & Sister Billy Blancett, Charlene Gillilan, Barbara Franks, Boaz Senior Center.

Pallbearers will be John Holcomb, Cameron Boyd, Michael Croft, Eran Franks, Alex Roberson, Aaron Richards, Trent Roberson, Luke Roberson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Kevin Roberson, Ryan Hunt.

Mrs. Roberson was preceded in death by her Parents: Earnest Delbert Potter, Sr. & Eula Pearl Potter. Brothers: J.B. Potter, James Potter. Sister: Ruth Casey.
