Mr. Tommy Nelson, 54 of Pleasant Hill Cut-off Road, Boaz, died Friday, April 1, 2016 at Riverview Regional Medical Center. Service will be Sunday, April 3, 2016; Two o'clock p.m. at McRae Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Martin and Bro. Bobby Hullett officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. McRae Funeral Home, Boaz is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 6 until 8 at the funeral home. Mr. Nelson was born in Alabama on Oct. 29, 1961 to Belton & Nettie Baird Nelson. He was a in the automobile business. Mr. Nelson is survived by his Wife: Dianne Franklin Nelson of Boaz, Daughters: Kylee Nelson of Boaz, Kelsey Nelson of Florida and Kiera Nelson of Boaz, Step-sons & Daughter-in-Law: Bradley & Lyndsey Franklin of Geraldine and Joseph Franklin of Boaz, Grandchildren: Landon Nelson, Braxton Franklin, Barrett Franklin and Libby Franklin, Brother: James Lynn Nelson of Albertville, Sisters and Brothers-in-Law: Miriam & Ronald Pendergrass and Vickie & Barry Weaver all of Boaz. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Belton & Nettie Nelson and Brother: Kyle Nelson.

Pallbearers will be Clay Benson, Chase Benson, Bubba Benson, Joseph Franklin, David Scott, Shannon Cahill, Ronald Pendergrass and Charlie Kirkland. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeff Kirkland, Gary Baker, David Guinn and Tyler Fountain.
