Shirley Hartbarger Summerford

Mrs. Shirley Hartbarger Summerford, age 87 of Boaz, Alabama, died on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Marshall Medical Center South.

Funeral service will be held at Two o’clock pm Sunday, January 21, 2024, at the McRae Chapel with Bro. Kerry Bryant officiating, Music provided by Chosen Generation. Interment will follow in the Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1:00pm -2:00pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Summerford was born in Alabama on September 16, 1936, to Corbet & Annie Hartbarger. She was a member of Fairview 1^st. FMC Church of Altoona, she loved to sit and watch the hummingbirds on the feeders in the summer for hours.

Mrs. Summerford is survived by her Sons & Daughter-in-Law: Bobby & Kathy Summerford of Altoona, Danny Summerford of Altoona. Grandchildren: Keith & Melissa Summerford, Blake & Jessica Summerford. Great Granddaughters: AndraLea Summerford, Bristol Summerford, EmmaLynn Summerford, Liliana Summerford. Sisters-in-Law: Sylvia “Tot” Hartbarger, Sylvia Hartbarger, Pat Summerford.

Mrs. Summerford was preceded in death by her Husband: James Summerford. Parents: Corbet & Annie Hartbarger. Brothers: Essel Hartbarger, Cecil Hartbarger, Clifford Hartbarger, Clarence Hartbarger. Sisters: Nell Jo Peppers, Beatrice Allen

Pallbearers will be Craig Summerford, Dylan Summerford, Will Jacobs, Travis Vaughn, Reggie Rowan, Patrick Rowan.

Family will accept flowers but request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Jude’s Hospital.
