Rita Machelle Nugent

Mrs. Machelle Nugent age 59 of Geraldine, Alabama, died on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice.

The funeral service will be held at Three o’clock pm, Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at the McRae Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Cody Nugent and Bro. Farrell Blanks officiating. Interment will follow in the Geraldine Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday July 19, 2023, from noon until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Nugent was born in Guntersville, Alabama on October 7, 1963, to Clayton Kelley and Vera Dobbs Kelley. She was a CNP at Geraldine High School.

Mrs. Nugent is survived by her Husband: Timothy Nugent of Geraldine, Sons: Eric Phillips & Whitley of Geraldine, Chris Phillips & Hailley of Crossville and Brandon Phillips of Madison, Step-Children: Cody Nugent & Laina Nugent of Boaz, Lacey Nugent of Crossville and Kristin Green & Justin of Albertville, 13 Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Mother: Vera Prance, Brothers: Larry Kelley and Jerry Kelley, Granddaughter: Evelyn Nugent.

Pallbearers will be Eric Phillips, Chris Phillips, Brandon Phillips, Clay Kelley, Scott Quigley, and Jonathan Harris. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jared Kelley, Kasen Vanicelli, and Nicholas Phillips.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
