Rev. Robert Calvert

Rev. Robert “Bob” Calvert, age 89, of Boaz, Alabama died Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at his residence.

Funeral service will be Sunday, November 7, 2021, at 2:00 PM at McRae Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Wilks officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, from noon until service time at the funeral home.

Bro. Calvert was born in Alabama on May 12, 1932, to Rev. E. U. & Mildred Parker Calvert. He was a Baptist Minister for 60 years. He is survived by his Sons and daughters-in-Law: Barton & Karen Calvert of Boaz and Adam & Mandy Calvert of Birmingham, Daughter & Son-in-Law: Julie & Darryl Sockwell of California, Grandchildren: Savannah & Sam Purcell, Jonathan Hyndman, Sarah & Conner Blair, Taylor & Drew Maddox, Jon Michael Sockwell, Jon Parker & Riley Calvert and Sam Calvert. He was preceded in death by his parents Rev. E. U. & Mildred Calvert Wife: Stuart Calvert and Brother: Dr. Frank Calvert.

Pallbearers will be Jon Michael Sockwell, Jon Parker Calvert, Sam Purcell, Drew Maddox, Conner Blair, and Sam Calvert.
