Meredith Washburn

Mrs. Meredith Barnes Washburn, age 41 of Boaz Alabama, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021, at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice.

Service will be held on Monday, January 3, 2022, at Two o’clock p.m. at the McRae Chapel with Dr. Aaron Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday evening from 5pm until seven pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Washburn was born in Alabama on June 21, 1980, to Tyler Lee Barnes, Jr. and Marie Godsey Barnes. She was an elementary school teacher at Cherokee Elementary.

Mrs. Washburn is survived by her Husband: Chris Washburn of Boaz, Son: Connor Washburn of Boaz, Daughter: Lainey Rose Washburn of Boaz, Parents: Tyler Barnes, Jr. and Marie Barnes of Rainbow City, Brother: Trey Barnes of Rainbow City, Sister & Brother-in- Law: Amy Barnes Crowe and Brad of Trussville and Nieces and Nephew: Kaitlyn Crowe, Courtney Crowe, and Campbell Crowe.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Marshall Medical Centers Cancer Center.
