Mrs. Mamie Ruth Foxx, age 84 of Golden Living formerly of Lester Drive, Boaz, died Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Marshall Medical Center South.
Funeral Services will be held on 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Bethsaida Baptist Church where she will lie-in-state from 1 - 2. Bro. Mike Springfield and Bro. Harold Brown will be officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining Cemetery. McRae Funeral Home, Boaz, Alabama is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Monday evening 6 - 8
Mrs. Foxx was born in Alabama on Dec. 26, 1928 to Joda & Flora Bell Chamblee Hammonds. She was a retired seamstress with the Lee Plant with over 42 years of service.
Mrs. Foxx is survived by her Sons & Daughter-in-Law: Wayne Fox of Boaz and Benny & Martha Foxx of Boaz, 6 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, Sisters: Pansy Holderfield of Horton and Dean Plunkett of Boaz. She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband: Willard Fox, Son: Tommy Fox, Brothers: Dolan Hammonds and Doyle Hammonds, Sisters: Clara Bell Ellis and Martha Cooper.
Pallbearers will be: Andy Foxx, Dustin Fox, Nicholas Graves, Jody Plunkett, Craig Waldrep and Sammy Fox.
