Mrs. Laura Blanche Haynes Lester, age 96 of Boaz, Alabama died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012 at the Albertville Nursing Home.
At her request, her body was donated to the University of Alabama at Birmingham Anatomical Sciences Donor Program.
Memorial Services will be held on 6:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2012 at McRae Chapel. Dr. Mark Isley will be officiating. McRae Funeral Home, Boaz, Alabama is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:30 until 6 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lester is survived by her Son & Daughter-in-Law: Jimmy "Frog" & Ann Lester of Boaz, Daughter-in-Law: Martha Kilpatrick Lester of Hilton Head, South Carolina, Grandchildren: Lew & Karen Lester of St. Croix, Eric & Andi Lester of Albertville, Lori Lester & Craig Thomas of Jacksonville, Florida and Belinda Lester & Mark Isley of Springville, Great Grandchildren: Lewis Lester, Jr. of St. Croix and Jackson Thomas of Jacksonville, Florida, and Jackie Lester of St. Croix.
Mrs. Lester was preceded in death by her son: D. Nelson Lester of Hilton Head, South Carolina in 2007.
