Joseph Lewis Sims

Mr. Lewis Sims, age 75 of Albertville, Alabama, died on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Marshall Medical Center South.

Funeral service will be held at Three o’clock pm on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Union FCM Church with Rev. Doyce Putman & Rev. Jarrod Shields officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm at the Church.

Mr. Sims was born in Alabama on December 3, 1947, to J.W. & Ila J. Austin Sims.

Mr. Sims is survived by his Wife: Rose M. Sims of Albertville. Daughter & Son-in-Law: Tonya & Jarrod Shields of Albertville. Son & Daughter-in-Law: Dr. Robert & Ellen Sims of Albertville. Grandchildren: AnnMarie Shields, Joel Shields, Evan Shields, Noah Sims, Eli Sims, Tucker Sims. Brothers & Sisters-in-Law: Larry & Kathy Sims of Athens, Van & Donna Sims of Albertville, Jerry Sims of Boaz, Tommy Sims of Albertville, Sid Sims of Douglas. Sister & Brother-in-Law: Joyce & Marvin Beck of Albertville.

Pallbearers will be: AnnMarie Shields, Joel Shields, Evan Shields,

Noah Sims, Eli Sims, Tucker Sims.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Mickey Monroe, George Sanders, Mike Bradberry, Larry Sims, Van Sims, Jerry Sims, Tommy Sims, Sid Sims, Marvin Beck, Frank Otinger, Kenneth Otinger, Timothy Otinger.

Mr. Sims was preceded in death by his Parents: J.W. & Ila J. Sims. Sisters: Shirley Sims, Frances Dabbs, Cindy Hill. Brother: Steve Sims.
