Mr. John Fleming Heard, age 87 of Ashlan Circle., Boaz, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2013 at Shepherd's Cove.
Service will be Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at Noon at McRae Chapel with Bro. Keith Dodd officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. McRae Funeral Home of Boaz is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Wednesday 11 until service time.
Mr. Heard is survived by his, Wife: Hazel Heard of Boaz, Son & Daughter-in-Law: Jimmy & Donna Heard of Boaz, Step-Son & Daughter-in-Law: Michael & Kay Alexander of Albertville, Daughter & Son-in-Law: Linda & Richard Polk of Boaz, Grandchildren: Tonya & Chad Gillilan and Johnna & Stan Morris, Great Grandchildren: Sessaley Baker, Tinzley Giles, Chloe Gillilan and Jordan Morris, Special friends: Van Priest and Bet Falkner. He was preceded in death by his parents: George & Rebecca Cosper Heard, Daughter: Charlotte Heard, Brothers: Clarence Heard, William R. "Bud" Heard, Sisters: Brooksie Wilks, Rosa Martin, Jewel Brown and Annie Akins.
Pallbearers will be Roger Seay, Phillip Seay, Jeremy Reagan, Grady Martin, Lynn Milner and Cliff Greer. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gideon's Sunday School Class of Boaz First Baptist Church.
