John Beck

Mr. John “Coach” Beck, age 71, of Boaz, died on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, at his residence.

A memorial service will be held at two o'clock p,m. on Saturday, November 7, 2020, at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Bro. Joey Smith, Mr. Drew Noles, Mr. Randall Morton and Bro. John Thweatt. Visitation will be from Noon until service time at the church. Due to the current health crisis, the family respectfully request the use of masks and strict adherence to social distancing requirements. Please save handshakes and hugs for healthier and happier times.

Mr. Beck was born in Bessemer, Alabama on November 5, 1948 to Hayes Leland & Geraldine Pate Beck. He was a retired Teacher, Coach and Principal.

Mr. Beck is survived by his wife: Minella K. Beck of Boaz, Sons & Daughters-in-Law: Chris & Amy Beck and Jeff & Lea Anne Beck all of Boaz, Granddaughters: Jordan & Joseph Clark, Chelsea & Trent Patterson, Anna Katherine Beck, Sarah Elizabeth Beck, Emmalee Faith Beck and Makenlee Hope Beck, Sisters & Brother-in-law: Gwen & Tim Green of Louisiana, Brenda Pendley of Gulf Shores and a host of other family members.  He was preceded in death by his parents: Leland & Geraldine Beck.

Honorary Pallbearers will be George Hopper, Tim Lacey, Robert Kirkland, Randall Morton, and Hoyt Hester.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to St. Paul United Methodist Church Choir Fund, P.O. Box 584, Boaz, AL 35957.
