Jimmy "J.T." "Professor" Thompson

Mr. Jimmy “J.T.” “Professor” Thompson, age 70, of Boaz, Alabama, died on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at the Grandview Medical Center. 

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 o’clock am on Saturday, July 20, 2024, in the McRae Chapel. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.

 Mr. Thompson was born in Alabama on August 15, 1953, to Arthur Bert & Wynell Wilson Thompson. He retired from Marshall Industrial Supply as a warehouse manager.

 Mr. Thompson is survived by his Brothers: Tommy Arthur Thompson of Gadsden and John Bert Thompson (Glenda) of Boaz, Nephews: Timothy Dale Sims, Anthony Blake Thompson and Phillip Shane Otinger, Nieces: Lori Sue Thompson and Bess Clowers Molnar. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Arthur Bert & Wynell Thompson and Sisters: Mary Sims and Martha Frances Thompson, Nephew: Terry Bert Sims and Brother-in-Law: Roger Dale Sims. Special Friend: Dewayne Wray.

 In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to either 2nd Chance Animal Shelter, 130 Co. Rd 398, Boaz, AL 35957 or to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
