Mr. Jimmy Crosson, age 69 of Boaz passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.

 

Mr. Crosson will be remembered as a devoted husband and loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather.  He served his community as an active member of the Sand Mountain Saddle Club, Mountain Poultry Gas Cooperative, and the Goldkist Poultry Growers Association.  He was a faithful member of the Sand Mountain Cowboy Church where he served as an Elder for many years.

 

His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Sand Mountain Cowboy Church with visitation from 1:00 to 2:00.  He will be laid to rest at Friendship Cemetery.  Bro. Michael Marsh, Bro. Edwin Waldrop, and Dr. Aaron Johnson will officiate the service.  Pallbearers will be Clint Owens, John Grandstaff, Mark Black, J.T. Pruitt, Brent Culver, Kevin Holsonback, Jay Holcomb, and Jacob Bozarth.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jamie Gaines, Brad Crosson, Noel Turner, Tommy Baugh, and Carl Bonds.  His family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at the funeral home.

 

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jane Crosson; daughters, Brosha Crawford (James) of Chelsea and Candice Richardson (Keith) of Boaz; son, Adam Crosson (Amanda) of Ball Ground Georgia; grandchildren, Daniel Rhodes, Hunter Crosson (Hannah), Connor Crosson, Lauren Smith, Lily Smith, Caellum Crosson, Carly Richardson, and Kross Richardson; great-grandchildren, Audrianna Ruvacalba and Ava Crosson; brother, Bill Crosson (Charlotte) of Gadsden; sister, Judy Holland of Boaz.

 

Mr. Crosson was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Imogene Crosson.
