Mr. Jimmy C. Ballentine, 73, of College Ave., Boaz, Alabama, died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015 at Shepherd's Cove.
Service will be Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015, Two o'clock p.m. at McRae Chapel with interment to follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Bro. Keith Dodd and Bro. Paul Lackey will be officiating. McRae Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Ballentine was born Dec. 4, 1941 to James Clyde & Gladys Savannah Moore Ballentine. He was a retired wholesale car dealer. Mr. Ballentine is survived by his Wife: Portia Lacey Ballentine of Boaz, Son & Daughter-in-Law: Timothy Craig & Christi Ballentine of Boaz, Daughter & Son-in-Law: Amy Michelle & Jason Brooks of Boaz, Grandchildren: Emily & Cason Cooper, Casey Wiggins and Zoe Ballentine, Special friend: Norman McCord and Special daughter: Norma McCord Wells. He was preceded in death by his Parents: J. C. & Gladys Ballentine, Daughter: Pam Jordan and Brothers: Johnny Ballentine and Dan Ballentine.
Pallbearers will be Vann Ballentine, Bobby Ballentine, Michael Ballentine, Brian Ballentine, Chris Bearden and Jim White. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Westside Baptist Church.
