Mr. Jimmy Wade Collins, Jr., age 45 of Pike Avenue, Boaz, Alabama died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013 at UAB Hospital. Funeral service will be Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at11:00 a.m. at Mt. Vernon Bapt. Church, with Bro. David Martin officiating, interment to follow in Bethsaida Cemetery. McRae Funeral Home of Boaz, Alabama is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-8 at the funeral home. Mr. Collins was a teacher and coach at Boaz High School for more than 18 years.

Mr. Collins is survived by his Wife: Mary Pike Collins of Boaz Son: Olin Ryan Collins of Boaz, Daughter: Maleah Jan Collins of Boaz, Mother: Oliva & Dale Bryant of Albertville, Sisters & Brother-in-Law: Kathy & Shannon Beaird and Molly Collins all of Albertville, Grandmother: Helen Waldon of Albertville, Mother-in-Law: Janet & Gerald Woodham of Albertville, Father-in-Law: Donald & Sandra Pike of Kilpatrick, Sister-in-Law: Lisa and Don Scott of Boaz, Nieces and Nephews: Mallory Beaird, Taylor Beaird, Emma Claire Harris, and Lauren Scott, Colton Childress, Tanner Childress and Tyler Scott. He was preceded in death by his Mentor: Olin Brock and Grandfather: Roy Waldon, Pallbearers will be Rich Rice, Mitch Rice, Mark Whitt, Will Burkes, Jeff Overstreet, Keith Holland, Tim Whitt and John Beck. Honorary Pallbearers will be Boaz Country Club.
