Mr. James E. “Jim” Smith, age 75 of Boaz, Alabama, died on Sunday, September 04, 2022, at Marshall Medical Center South.

 

Funeral service will be held at Two o’clock pm on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at McRae Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jonathan Lancaster, Lee Pack, Bro. Mark Smith, Bro. Tim Smith, and Bro. Kelly Tarvinn officiating. Interment will follow in the Beulah Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from eleven a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

 

Mr. Smith was born in Alabama on April 29, 1947, to Vaslie & Edith Terrell Smith. He retired from management with Gold Kist/ Pilgrim’s Pride and OK Foods.

 

Mr. Smith is survived by his Wife: Shirley Smith of Boaz, Son & Daughter-in-Law: Jamie & Dawn Smith of Albertville, Daughter & Son-in-Law: Jennifer & Andy Jones of Douglas, Grandchildren: Kaitlyn Smith Adams & Jabin, Taylor Grace Jones and Andrew Jones, Brothers: Tommy J. Smith of South Side and Sister: Rebecca Smith Williams of Gadsden. He was preceded in death by his parents: V.H. & Edith Smith and Brother: Phillip T. Smith, Sr.

 

Pallbearers will be Andy Jones, Andrew Jones, Tim Miller, Kip Denton Williams, Ashton Bailey, Whitton Bailey.

 

Honorary Pallbearers will be Don Bouldin and Tommy Willoughby and Charles Bailey.
