James Roden

Mr. James L. Roden, 74, of Albertville, Alabama, died Monday, April 6, 2015 at Shepherd's Cove.

Service will be Thursday, April 9, 2015, 2 o'clock p.m. at McRae Chapel with interment in the Marshall Memorial Gardens. Bro. Brent Roe and Bro. Gary Williams will be officiating. McRae Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6 - 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Roden was born in Alabama on July 8, 1940 to James Curtis "Teb" & Martha Leola Terrell Roden. He was a retired Hydro-Dam operator for a Power plant.

Mr. Roden is survived by his wife of56 years: Delana Roden of Albertville, Daughter & Son-in-Law: Rhonda & Hugh Hicks of Tennessee, Grandsons: Brad Hicks and Will Hicks both of Tennessee also Nephew, Nieces and Grandnieces. He was preceded in death by his Parents: James Curtis "Teb" & Leola Roden and brother: John Roden.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to Joyce Oliver.

Pallbearers will be Brad Hicks, Will Hicks, Mark Thompson, Joel Gafford, John Crane, Cliff Gambrell, Tom Burgess and James Luther Wilaby Honorary Pallbearers will be Cleburn Oliver, Buddy Hanson Henry Reed, Benny Cobb, Miles Pell, Buck Todd, Chief Eason, Gip McKee, Gerald Woodham, and Pete Patterson.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Hospice of Marshall County, 408 Martling Road, Albertville, AL 35951 or to Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund, 201 Rose Road, Albertville, AL 35950
