Mr. J.C. "Jake" Kennedy, 85, of Highway 168, Boaz, Alabama, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014 at Shepherd's Cove.
Service will be Monday, Dec. 15, 2014, One o'clock p.m. at McRae Chapel with interment in Myrtle Tree Cemetery. Bro. Scott Delashaw will be officiating. McRae Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Monday from Noon until funeral time at the funeral home.
Mr. Kennedy was born in Alabama on April 6, 1929 to John & Estelle King Kennedy. He was a retired Drycleaner.
Mr. Kennedy is survived by his Wife: Dean Mansel Kennedy of Boaz, Sons and Daughters-in-Law: Larry & Sherry Kennedy of Georgia and Don & Teresa Kennedy of Courtland, Grandchildren: Mark & Angela Kennedy, Matt & Kristen Kennedy and April & Toby Bradford, Great Grandchildren: Zane Streater, Emma Kate Smith and Cooper Kennedy, Brothers: Bill Kennedy and Grady Kennedy both of Boaz, Sisters: Evelyn Boone of Boaz, Effie Lee Uselton and Mary Lou McGatha both of Ohio, Bertha Morrow and Wanda Eaton both of Boaz. He was preceded in death by his Son: Jimmy Kennedy.
Pallbearers will be Toby Bradford, Zane Streater, Mark Kennedy, Matt Kennedy, Henry Aden and Justin Mayo. Honorary Pallbearer will be Lance Aden.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Hospice of Marshall County, 408 Martling Road, Albertville, AL 35951.
