Mr. Henry Reed, 75, of Mt. Vernon Drive, Boaz, died Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Marshall Medical Center South. Service will be at three o'clock p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at McRae Chapel with Bro. Tony Jones, Bro. David Martin and Bro. Michael Marsh officiating. Interment will follow in Marshall Memorial Gardens. McRae Funeral Home, Boaz is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Saturday from noon until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Reed was born in Alabama on June 4, 1940 to Byron & Nellie Ruth Hill Reed. He was a cattle and poultry farmer. Mr. Reed is survived by his wife: Judy Taylor Reed of Boaz, Son: Jeff Reed of Atlanta, Daughter & Son-in-Law: Jennifer and Shannon Burns of Albertville, and Grandsons: Taylor Burns and Tristen Burns.
Pallbearers will be Taylor Burns, Tristen Burns, Jody Bonds, Tommy Goss, Hollis Burns, Kevin Ennis, Adam Jones and Scott Stiefel. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Over the Hill Gang.
