Mr. H.V. McDowell, Sr., age 88 of Boaz, Alabama, died on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at his residence.

Funeral service will be held at Two o’clock pm on Saturday, August 12,2023, at the McRae Chapel with Bro. Cody Nugent officiating. Interment will follow in the Beulah Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. McDowell was born in Alabama on May 3, 1935, to Z.H. & Lillie Freeman McDowell.

Mr. McDowell is survived by his Sons & Daughter-in-Law: Steve & Karen McDowell of Albertville, H.V. McDowell, Jr. of Boaz. 5 Grandchildren & 6 Great Grandchildren.

Mr. McDowell was preceded in death by his Parents: Z.H. & Lillie McDowell. Wife: Jimmie Dean McDowell. Daughter: Martha Buchanan. 3 Brothers and 4 Sisters

Pallbearers will be Matt Mullinax, Chad Buchanan, Scott McDowell, Nick McDowell, Cody Buchanan and Shane McDowell.
