Glennis Johnson

Mr. Glennis Johnson, age 75, of West Mann Avenue, Boaz, Alabama died on Monday, January 1, 2018 at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice.

Funeral service will be held at eleven o’clock a.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at First Baptist Church Boaz with Dr. Aaron Johnson and Bro. Keith Dodd officiating. He will lie-in-State from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Johnson was born in Aroney, Alabama on June 21, 1942 to Jerry Gaston & Nancy Jane Cruse Johnson. He was a cabinet maker and also worked for many years at Snead State Community College.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his Wife: Becky Johnson of Boaz, Daughters & Son-in-Law: Angie Johnson of Summerville, South Carolina and Cara & Anthony Whitehead of Albertville, Grandchildren: Forrest Whitehead and Hannah Whitehead, Best Buddy: Chevy, Brother: Joe Johnson of Aroney, Sisters: Eleanor Holdbrooks of Collinsville, Lottie Bryant of Birmingham and Sib Hill of Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Gaston & Nancy Johnson, Siblings: Gleason Johnson, Garnett Johnson, Curtis Johnson, Mutt Johnson and Lillian Calhoun.

Pallbearers will be Eric Whitehead, Bruce Dorrell, Eric Galloway, David Putman, Bernie Claburn, Van Ballentine, Jessie Alexander.
