Gerald L. Tarvin, 76, of Boaz, Alabama died Friday, June 21, 2019 at Marshall Medical Center South.
Funeral service will be Sunday, June 23, 2019 at 3:00 pm in the McRae Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Wayne Tarvin, Bro. Jimmy Umphrey, and Bro. Paul Trussell officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until the time of service.
Mr. Tarvin was born in Etowah County, Alabama on March 9, 1943 to William Luther & Willie Pauline Summerford Tarvin. He was a retired carpenter and farmer.
Mr. Tarvin is survived by his wife Beverly Jo Trussell Tarvin; Daughters & Sons-in-law Ginger & David Haven, Barbie & Glenn Cottles, and Sandy & Randy Hubbard; 9 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren; Brother & Sister-in-law David & Kendra Tarvin; and Sisters & Brothers-in-law Martha & Frank Umphrey, Elizabeth & Gerald Fielder, Jane & Tommy Moore, and Kathy & Ray Roberson; and Sister-in-law Sharon Tarvin.
He is preceded in death by his Parents Luther & Pauline Tarvin; Brothers James Lowell Tarvin, Luther “Bud” Tarvin, and Wayne Tarvin; and Sister Jean Davis.
Pallbearers will be Grandsons Shawn Haven, Chace Cottles, Joe Wiley Mitchell, Shannon Allen, Brody Hedricks, and Craig Brannon. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rickey Johnson, Michael Umphrey, Tim Tarvin, Ray Roberson, Jesse Hubbard, and Seth Hubbard.
