Dr. Luther Franklin Corley, Jr., age 87, of West Mann Ave., Boaz, Alabama died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, at Golden Living.
Service was Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church, with Bro. Mike Spivey officiating. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery. McRae Funeral Home of Boaz, Alabama is in charge of the arrangements.
Dr. Corley was born in Alabama on Dec. 4, 1923 to Luther F. Corley, Sr. and Caroline Stewart Corley. He was a retired family doctor.
Dr. Corley is survived by his: Wife: Clare Robb Corley of Boaz, Sons & Daughter-in-Law: Dr. Luther F. Corley, III and Haley of Huntsville and Dr. Thomas Robb Corley of Gadsden, Grandchildren: Luther F. Corley, IV, Evan Carter Corley and Clare Robb Corley all of Huntsville.
Pallbearers were Charles Brock, Jerry Don Sims, Frank Mastin, III, Don Bouldin, Tommy Gibson and Patrick Phillips. Honorary Pallbearers were Hoyle Logan, Bill Amberson, Boaz High School Class of 1941 and Golden Living Nursing Home Staff.
