Mr. Doyle Johnson, age 83, of Sardis City died on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Johnson was born in Alabama on September 11, 1933 to W.A. & Mertie Broadwell Johnson. He was retired from Gulf State Steel & a member of Sardis Baptist Church. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017 at McRae Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Max Roden & Bro. Mike Goforth officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 12 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McRae Funeral Home. Mr. Johnson is survived by his Wife: Shirley Johnson Daughter & Son-in-Law: Angela & Homer Campbell of Sardis City. Grandchildren: Katie Dogan, C.J. Campbell, Kyle Campbell & Justin Campbell. Great Grandchild: Kade Dogan. Sister: Bertha Battles of Birmingham. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his Parents: W.A. & Mertie Johnson. 4 Brothers & 3 Sisters.
