Dovie Johnson

Mrs. Dovie Sue Moreland Johnson, age 84 of Attalla, Alabama, died Friday, September 24, 2021, at her residence.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Two o’clock p.m. at the Unity United Baptist Church with Bro. Joe Wise officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday evening from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home. She will lie-in-State at the church from 1pm until service time.

Mrs. Johnson was born on April 13, 1937, to Richard Andrew Jackson Wolley Moreland and Susie Alverzene Lively Moreland. She was retired from the H.D. Lee Plant.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her Daughters & Son-in-Law: Charlotte Johnson Mulvihill of Boaz, Marilyn Hamilton (Carthell Hamilton-deceased) of Sardis and Annette & Nathan McSpadden of Attalla, Grandchildren: Angela & Chris Wade, Jamie Bowen, Amy Marie & Danny Jenkins, Lisa & Billy Horsley, Lorie Wilder, Michael & Gwen Barnes and Ashlin McSpadden, 10 Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren, Sisters: Fannie Thurman of Gaylesville, Shirley Bartlett of Sylvania and Lila Sears of Crossville. She was preceded in death by her Husband: Roland Johnson, Granddaughter: Melissa Wooten, Great Great Granddaughter Nymeria and 6 brothers and 1 sister.

Pallbearers will be Bob Vanshiak, Lee Henderson, Brandon Jenkins, Andy Battles, James Harris, and Larry Henderson. Honorary pallbearer will be Josh Battles
