Douglas Crawford Perry, 62, of Elbert, CO. passed from this earthly home on July 3, 2012 in Atlanta, GA.
Doug was born in Boaz, AL. March 31, 1950 the only son to Crawford S. Perry and Ruby Pate Perry.
Doug graduated from Boaz High School in 1968 where he was active in Football, Track, and Drama Club. He took a break in education to serve his country in the United States Army, and upon his honorable discharge, attended Auburn University where he graduated with a degree in Pharmacy.
He retired from the Veteran Administration where he worked as a civilian pharmacist.
Doug is preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Pate Perry, his father Crawford S. Perry, and sister Myra Perry Maroney, all of Boaz, AL.
He is survived by fiancAC.e, Dana Morgan of Elbert, CO; son Robert Bradford Perry Madrigal of Happy Valley, OR; grandson Nathan Aleksander Madrigal of Happy Valley, OR; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be held Sunday, July 15th at McRae's Funeral Home in Boaz, AL. Visitation will be from 1-3, funeral at 3 with burial at Hillcrest cemetery immediately following.
An avid horseman all of his life, Doug enjoyed all aspects of his horses and life in Colorado.
