Coach Whaley

Coach Eric Whaley, 39, of Ross Drive, Boaz, Alabama died Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice. A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at 7:00 pm in the Boaz High School Gym. Family will receive friends at the gym from 4:00 until the time of service at 7:00 pm at the gym. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 2:00 pm at St. Paul United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:00 until the time of service at 2:00 pm. Bro Mark Parris and Dr. Glenn Conner will officiate. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Coach Whaley is survived by his wife Alison Whaley; son Tyler Whaley; daughter Addie Whaley; father & step-mother Ronald & Phyllis Whaley; mother Terrie Allen; sister & brother-in-law Megan & Chad Brown; sister-in-law Amy & Chris Beck; mother-in-law Helen Vann; father-in-law Doug Vann; nieces Anna Kate Beck, Sarah Beth Beck, and Blakeley Kate Brown. Pallbearers will be Bubba Walls, Mike Smith, Adam Keenum, Skylar Baugh, Bo Brannon, Nick Dixon, Matt Sanders, Matt Pendergrass, Jeremy Lacks, Manny Aragon & Thad Brooks. Honorary Pallbearers will be his coaching friends and staff.
