Coach Nick Dixon

Mr. Nicholas E. Dixon, Jr. “Coach Nick Dixon”, age 69, of Albertville, Alabama, died on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at his residence. 

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, at eleven o’clock am in the McRae Chapel with Bro. Lynn Darnell, Bro. Drew Noles and Bro. Patrick Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. A visitation will be on Thursday evening, February 6, 2025, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. 

Coach Dixon was born in Linden, Alabama on January 9, 1956, to Patsy Ruth Huckabee Dixon and Nicholas E. Dixon, Sr. He was a retired teacher and coach in the Boaz City School System. He was also an inventor and successful entrepreneur. 

Coach Dixon is survived by his wife: Anna Carol Dixon of Albertville, Sons: Nicholas “Trey” Dixon, III & Shellie of Boaz, William P. “Bill” Dixon & Amanda of Auburn and Joel Drinkard Dixon of Albertville, Daughter: Anna Nicole Dixon of Albertville, Grandchildren: Nicholas Connor Dixon, Grayson Coley Guyton, and Kathan Drey Dixon. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Nicholas & Patsy Dixon. 

The pallbearers will be Mike Smith, Bo Brannon, Jeff Johnson, Adam Keenum, Caleb Pinyan, Jeremiah Patterson, Jeff Milwee, and Keith Bennett. Honorary Pallbearers will be Thad Brooks, Brad Bennett, Kyle Bennett, Brian Hinton, Jason Noles, Matthew Bone, Bubba Walls, and all employees of Lifetime Epoxy Floors.
