Claudine "Dean" Adams Wright, 90, of Gadsden passed away Monday, August 20. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 22 at 3 PM at McRae Funeral Home in Boaz. Rev. Welton Brooks will officiate with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Dean was born May 30, 1922, in Marshall County, to E. Homer and Lovella Scott Adams, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband George Wright, Jr. and her brother, Coy E. Adams. She is survived by her sister, Betty Adams Murphree , Boaz and nieces Cathy Greer, Boaz, Karen Greer, Albertville, Angie Patterson, Rainbow City, and Terri Riddle, Gadsden. She is also survived by her great great niece Riley Russell, Birmingham, who brought her much love and joy the past three years. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 4825 Trousdale Drive, Suite 220, Nashville, TN 37220. The family expresses special thanks to the nurses and staff of Gadsden Health and Rehab Center and the 9th floor step-down unit of Gadsden Regional Medical Center for their kindness, compassion, and excellent care. The family also expresses their gratitude to Regency Pointe for helping provide the quality of life our aunt experienced during her years there. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
