Mr. Charles Lindberg Thomas, age 85 of Hwy 168 E., Boaz, Alabama died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at his residence.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at McRae Chapel, with Bro. Terry Sisco and Bro. Keith Dodd officiating, interment to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. McRae Funeral Home of Boaz, Alabama is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Monday evening 6 - 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Thomas was born Oct. 5, 1927 in Boaz, Alabama to Atha Nacious & Zelma Ruth Starnes Thomas. He was retired from Marshall-Dekalb.
Mr. Thomas is survived by his: Daughter & Son-in-Law: Connie & Tony Warren of Boaz, Granddaughter: Lindsey & Alex Troxtel of Boaz,Great Grandsons: Aiden Troxtel and Peyton Troxtel, Brothers: Joe Ed Thomas of South Carolina and Wayne Thomas of Georgia, Sisters: Sarah Edmondson of Georgia and Mollie Edmondson of Geraldine. Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his Parents and his wife: Hazel Denson Thomas.
Pallbearers will be his nephews: Jimmy Brown, Terry Edmondson, Kenneth Gillilan, Joe Thomas, Kevin Thomas and Donny Denson. Honorary Pallbearers will be all nephews, great nephews and his Beagle Buddies.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Hospice of Marshall County or a charity of your choice.
