Mrs. Carolyn Sims, 71, of Snowden Drive, Boaz, died Friday, July 10, 2015.
Mrs. Sims is survived by her husband Ed Sims of Boaz; son & daughter-in-law Eric & Rachael Sims of Boaz; daughter & FiancAC.: Tammy Brothers & Tommy Frederick of Boaz; grandchildren Crystal Brothers Marcus Hendrix), Tasha Brothers (Jeremy Smith), Hunter Sims, and Brianna Sims; great-grandchildren Korbyn Pitts, Kayson Pitts, Alyssa Edwards, and Kaislee Hendrix; brothers & sisters-in-law Bill & Gail Walden of Albertville, Jerry & Glenda Walden of Georgia, and Larry & Barbara Walden of Boaz; brothers-in-law Arnold Morgan and Ed Denson; and sister-in-law Janice Walden.
Mrs. Sims joined her parents L.T. & Della Walden; brother Tommy Walden, and sisters Jeanette Morgan and Alice Gail "Boots" Denson.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 13, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the McRae Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Kilpatrick and Bro. Mickey Perigo officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, July 12, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Teddy Sims, Darrell Sims, Anthony Walden, Jackie Carroll, Joseph Wilson, and A.J. Walden. Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Dodd, Scotty Kilgo, Korbyn Pitts, Kayson Pitts, and Dale Sims.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the caregivers of Hospice of Marshall County, especially to Gina Lombard, Rita King and Jennifer Fann.
