Calvina Little

March 1, 1931 — December 22, 2014

Ms.Calvina Honea Little, 83 , of Glencoe, Alabama, formerly of Boaz, Alabama, died Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, at her residence in Glencoe.

Service will be Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014, Two o'clock P.M. at McRae Chapel in Boaz with interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Bro. Wayne Tarvin & Shannon Pullen will be officiating. McRae Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Sunday from Noon until funeral time at the funeral home.

Ms. Little was born in Tennessee on March 1, 1931 to Lawson Calvin and Vesta W ard Sullenger. She was retired from serving as the Secretary / Treasurer of the UGW-AFLCIO in the United States and Canada.

Ms. Little is survived by her Daughters: Pat Honea Oden (Dewayne) of Sardis and Shirle Honea Malone (Don Gibbs) of Glencoe, two Grandsons: Grant Oden (Becky) of Sardis and Rich Oden (Melanie) of Rainbow City, two Granddaughters: Amy Oden Gilbreath (Lamar) of Sardis and Jeri Malone Jones of Guntersville, six Great Grandchildren: Brynna Kate Oden (Rich), Lauryn Callie Roberts, Brannen Scott Roberts, and Mason Lee Roberts (Amy), Hunter Bayleigh Franklin and Madison Meadows Jones (Jeri). Ms. Litte was preceeded in death by her Mother and Father: Lawson Calvin Sullenger and Vesta Sullenger, Step Father: Virce Norman, Husband: Wendell Honea, Sister: Susie Norman Green, Brother: Leon Sullenger, Son In Law: Jerry Malone Pallbearers will be Larry Crutchfield, Tony "Bird" Rider, David Gibbs, Ryan Duvall, Chris Gibbs and Jackie Pullen. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Fitzpatrick, Dave Johnson, Mickey Gibbs, Terry Gibbs, Kim Gibbs, Dr. Raines and Dr. Junkins.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Junkins and Dr. Raines, the Amedysis Staff of Rainbow City and her loving caregivers.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Hospice of Marshall County , 408 Martling Road, Albertville, Alabama 35951.
