Mr. Billy Joe “Bill” Ashworth, age 87 of Boaz, Alabama, died on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at his residence.

Funeral service will be held at Two o’clock pm on Tuesday, August 22,2023, at the McRae Chapel with Bro. David Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Douglas Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Ashworth is survived by his Wife: Faye Ashworth of Boaz. Sons & Daughters-in-Law: George & Kathey White of Helena, Tojo & Gwen White of Mobile, John & Dawn Battle of Douglas, Butch Ashworth of Boaz. Daughters & Sons-in-Law: Grace Knowles of Montevallo, Beverly & Mike Abell of Pelham, Tina Walker of Boaz, Pam Medina of Virginia. 19 Grandchildren. A host of Great Grandchildren. Brother: Billy Ashworth of Susan Moore.

Mr. Ashworth was preceded in death by his Father & Step-mother: Berval & Mickie Ashworth. Mother: Ruby Hester.

Pallbearers will be Brent Brashier, Brock Brashier, Brett Brashier, Phillip Walker, Marlon Jones, Mark Coffey.
