Bettye Gregory Buchanan

Mrs. Bettye Gregory Buchanan, age 92 of Boaz, Alabama, died on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at her residence.                   

A funeral service will be held at two o’clock pm, Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at the McRae Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jonathan Lancaster officiating. Interment will follow in the Marshall Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be Wednesday, January 10, 2024, from one until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Buchanan was born in Alabama on March 31, 1931, to Marvin Lee & Ruth Bain Dyar Gregory. She was a retired schoolteacher.

Mrs. Buchanan is survived by her Daughter: Ruth Ellen Thompson and Rick of Boaz, Grandchildren: James Rickard Thompson, Jr and Emily and Andrew Buchanan Thompson and Allison, Great Grandchildren: Vivienne Bettye Thompson and Nellie Ruth Thompson, Sister: Patricia Gregory Copeland of Boaz.  She was preceded in death by her Parents:  Husband: Fred Buchanan.

Pallbearers will be James Thompson, Andrew Thompson, Greg Copeland, Joseph Reiker, Patrick Smith, Parker Smith, Jeff Wolford, and Jake Wolford.
