Barbara Jo Sims

Mrs. Barbara Sims, age 73 of Boaz, Alabama, died on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at her residence.

Funeral service will be held at Two o’clock pm on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at the McRae Chapel with Bro. Mickey Perigo officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Sims was born in Alabama on December 30, 1949 to A.V. & Elaine Baugh Slaten.

Mrs. Sims is survived by her Husband: Dale Sims of Boaz. Sons & Daughters-in-Law: Teddy & Kendra Sims of Boaz, Eddie & Brooke Sims of Boaz. Grandchildren: Brittnie Roberson, Spencer Sims, Payton Hensley, Kaylan Beam, Branden Sims. 9 Great Grandchildren. Brother & Sister-in-Law: Winford & Jane Slaten of Huntsville, Martha Slaten of Arab.

Pallbearers will be Spencer Sims, Branden Sims, Darrell Sims, Eric Sims, Garry Clanton, Blake Wright.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Shawn Wright, Scotty Kilgo.

Mrs. Sims was preceded in death by her Parents: A.V. & Elaine Baugh Slaten. Brothers: Toby & Wilburn Slaten.
