Mr. Auther Baker, Age: 83 of County Road 26, Boaz died Friday June 29, 2012 at his residence.

Service will be two o’clock p.m. Monday, July 2, 2012 at Union FCM Church with Bro. Doyce Putman and Bro. Ed Cash officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. McRae Funeral Home, Boaz, is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Baker is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law: Terry & Minea Baker of Birmingham, Tonny & Katherine Baker of Tuscombia and David & Sylvia Baker of Boaz, 8 grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and Brother & Sister-in-Law: J. Estel & Elena Baker of Decatur. He is preceded in death by his wife: Bonnie Rebecca “Betty” Baker, Son: Ronald Auther Baker, 3 Brothers and 4 Sisters.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Baker, Jake Baker, Dustin Baker, Joshua Baker, Daniel Baker and Tony Carroll.

Mr. Baker was the last founding member of the Union Rescue Squad. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Union Rescue Squad.
